Refractor Collimation

Hi Stargazers,

Does a refractor need collimating. I purchased a SkyWatcher EVOSTAR 100ED2 PRO a few weeks back and havent been able to use it due to this terrible weather we are having.

I assumed that it was only newtonian reflectors that required collimating now and again!!

Some refractors do have collimatable lens cells and some do not. I don't know if your particular model is or isn't unfortunately.

The ED100 doesn't have collimatable lens cell, all you can really do is make sure the lens, diagonal and eyepiece are aligned by ensuring everything is screwed in tight and flush.
