Hi everyone, new member here.

I'm wondering if anybody has any DIY tips, for fixing a loose/rotating secondary mirror assembly in my C8.

The gaskets must have dried out or something because the secondary will not stay put unless I screw down the assembly super tight.

I don't want to risk deforming (or even breaking the corrector) so I think it's preferable to replace the gaskets.

I've already been given a tip on CN to buy a sorbothane gasket from Starizona.

However I'm sure any budget minded astronomers out here will agree with me that 37 USD for a gasket (incl. shipping to EU) is a little over the top!

Any tips are welcome :)
