I can get close, when items are located on a tri-pod.

I am also sometimes using tri-pod when taking pictures, with my Canon EOS. ?

Kind regards ?

I ask because I prefer to observe seated in a fixed height patio chair, similar to the seating situation of a wheelchair.  I've found that with my refractor, I have to extend the center column on my tripod when viewing near the zenith to move the eyepiece up to a comfortable level.  Once I lock it into position, I don't notice any more flex or settling time than when fully retracted.  Normal astronomy tripods don't have this capability.
