Astronomik Halpha 6nm EOS Clip filter

Hi everyone! I would like to buy an Astronomik Halpha filter and I would like to know if it is worth it even if I have not taken the IR filter out of the camera... Do I have to remove it to have any chance of imaging with this filter or I can simply leave it in and take photographs as usual? I don't see why keeping the IR filter inside the camera would reduce the sensitivity to Halpha since the Halpha line is in the visible spectrum, not in the infrared one. Maybe the filter doesn't filter out just the infrared.... I don't know. Also, if there is somebody who uses an H alpha filter from Astronomik with an unmodded Canon 100D I would be glad to see some images. Thank you all in advance!

Hi Adrian

Yeah, you need an astro-modded camera to get the benefit of an h-alpha filter. You also then need a bright star to focus on as the filter obviosly cuts out the light outside the filter's bandwidth.
