Help a newbie please?

Hello guys,

I am new to the forum and to the field of sky observation generally. I recently got myself a Skywatcher 200p and I am generally very satisfied with it's performance. I ve got a question though.

Is it a good option to use WD-40 as grease to its EQ5 mount? 

I apologise if the question has been answered elsewhere, but I haven't gotten the time to look around the forum yet.

Hi Nikos.

The Eq5 & Eq6 are well  known for thier grease problems ( Made in China) if you are considering taking your mount apart, i have done this, I would clean out the old black grease and use http://www.klueber.com/en/lubricants/lubricating-greases/

this is the Best Grease for the job.. Dont use Wd-40..
