Rigel finder: non-stick solution

This will not work for all setups, but if you use a long dovetail bar for balancing, it might just.

 

 

I had a dovetail clamp I wasn't using, so I sourced a scrap block of wood and fashioned this assembly.

 

 

Far from perfect, maybe even ugly, but it works a treat!

Looks like having it off set from the scope might make it a lot more comfortable to use. Nice idea!

Nice creative and el cheapo solution.

Pity it came too late to make my solution. I do have a long dovetail at the front of the scope that isn't in use. I have now used a sticky method.

Having determined that it works, I will soon paint it black (with apologies to Mick Jagger). Then I still have to come up with some sort of dew-shield for the finder...
