canon 350d on vista

has anyone got a work around on vista? i'm trying to usemy 350d on a vista basic laptop so i can use the live view to focus and use laptop for exposure times. Canon was no help as they say they don't do EOS Capture software for 350d on vista!!! anyother way or programmes out therei can use instead of canons?

Almost all the applications I know call the Canon software to do the real work in the background. Their lack of Vista support for the 350D has caused a lot of problems for many people
