CR2 Raw files for those sat looking at the rain.....

I'd love to know if these files can yield any decent results, or whether they are just too overexposed ? ? ? ?

The first is a 180sec expo, the second is 800 secs I think, but that one has trailing stars.

Any takers?

PS, its the files for the elephant trunk nebula. I have 5 or 6 more of the 800 sec ones, but I dont think they can be stacked? DSS says they have no stars.

Had a bash at the traily one, it came out like this.

This is a bit cropped off the top right of the image, reduced by 50%.

Deffo some sort of elephant thing going on there.

thanks KK, how did you reduce the trailing?

Duplicate the layer, set it as darken. In filters, go to OTHER, OVERLAY. Set the offsets and the trails go away a bit.

All in Martin's primers, he gets full credit, as he appears to know stuff.
