Serial Long Exposure Webcam Control - DTR, RTS, CTS?

I'm confused by the control lines used for Serial Long Exposure and Amp-Glow modified TouCams, often called SC 1.5.

Depending on which software is used, combinations of DTR, RTS, and CTS are used:

PHD2 Guiding uses CTS and DTR

but

Sharpcap uses RTS and DTR

WxAstroCapture uses RTS and DTR

Guidedog uses RTS and DTR

K3CCDTools uses RTS and DTR

My Atik 2HS uses all three:

Shutter = RTS

Amp Off = DTR

Long/Normal = CTS

I'd like to use this camera with PHD2, so do I rewire it with a manual LX On/Off switch, and reconnect RTS to the DTR line?

Thanks Brantuk

I've modded a Toucam Pro in the distant past so had already re-read all the versions on Steve's site - that's where the parallel to serial circuit I'm using came from.

Astronomiser sells Parallel to Serial converters and even mentions Atik cameras - but it's all for K3CCD, not for PHD2 with it's apparently different requirements.
