Better DIY cross-hair reticle in Antares 25mm 70° EP

Today I got the 34.8mm cross-hair reticle from Surplus Shed, at the staggering cost of $8.36 including postage. Unscrewed the 1.25" barrel from the EP, removed the old cross-hairs (two from my scalp), removed remnants of tape, put the cross-hair reticle on top, and screwed that into the barrel with the engraving upwards. This means it lies flush with the field stop, and hey presto, we have a nice cross-hair EP, with 27.3mm field stop. I might see if I can make a hole in the side of the EP, tap a thread in it, to add an illuminator. I will first check it out in my 14x70 DIY RACI finder.
