Moving from PixInsight to Photoshop

I use the STF stretch simply to see what is there - and for assessing things like NR and so on at the Linear stage. I then do a custom stretch. I think that an application of the STF to the Histogram Transformation does clip the black points a little. I hadn't appreciated that there was a correct way of stretching, that is aggressive to start with, and gentler from then on. Sometimes I find that it is difficult to move the black point slider in without clippng some pixels. Perhaps that is because I am not aggressive enough with my initial stretch.
