CEM60 vs AZ-EQ6 for imaging...

As the title says... this seems to be my great dilemma.

I image at around 1000mm on an HEQ-5 but I need to upgrade.

Both of these mounts are well within my payload and luggability range, well within budget and have all the features and gizmos I need.

I'd just like to know, which is most accurate when guided for imaging applications? I use an OAG Lodestar and pulseguiding so no concerns about guide performance. Just sheer community wisdom, which one is known/thought to give the better star shapes.

I'd really appreciate some advice.

PS I'm referring to the non-EC CEM60, so I can stand well clear of all that '54th fundamental' trouble!

Stratis,

Should push this inquiry out again. Viable topic for many of us. Although the debates have typically been this CEM in comparison to Orion's HDX110.

The CEM60 is $1,000+ pop greater, as you probably know and given the bells and whistles it's been pushed against better competition.

Let's see if we can get some action.

Best,

AL
