Baader Neodymium 1.25" Filter

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I got one of these and live under orange skies. It helps a bit, but I still use the LPR filter a lot. In other words, it's worth spending a few quid more to get the LPR if you want certain nebulae to stand out! :(

N.B. LPRs don't help with galaxies or clusters (quite the opposite). With these DSOs you just have to wait for a power cut!

I have a 2inch Baader Neodymium filter and personally find to be about a useful as a `sponge leg`! All it seems to do is darken the sky and the stars without seemingly giving anything back in exchange. I live near cardiff in quite light polluted skies.
