I have a 7 meg ccd camera point & click on which the zoom broke. So I opened it up to try and fix it, but can't find the issue and would rather get a new one. Everything but the zoom works. The camera has no long exposure mod or direct link to a laptop.

The camera is a kodak Ex-z750

My question is - can the chip be salvaged and used to replace e.g. my SC1.5 modified spc900nc's chip?
