NGC 281 - Pacman

Have got round to having a go at processing my data from saturday that was taken on the Pacman Nebula.

Consists of 15 x 300s @ISO 400 Lights, 15 Darks, 15 Flats and 30 Bias.

All work has  been done in PI and must give a great big thank you to Mr Light Vortex himself for the great DSLR tutorial that he has on his website.

As this is the 1st image I have processed fully in PI feel I have a fair bot to learn still and some tweaks to make so as to suit my set-up and personal tastes, but overall I am rather happy with what I have achieved to date

As always, am open to comments, pointers, criticism and free CCD camera and filters.......

Come to look at it today and am not that happy.....feel I have over done the HDR on teh lum layer before recombining.

Will re-visit over coming days and redo without going down the HDR route

Here is another go at processing of the image.

This one is only the RGB portion, have not added any Lum data to it.  Stretching and curves done in PI

Feel slightly happier with this one.

Next stage will be to add the Lum data but without the HDR step in...see what results that brings
