I see that someone on the SL Yahoo User Group is reporting running SL on an HP Stream7 tablet. This has a Win 8.1 OS and can be had for under £90 in the UK. Whether it has enough oomph and memory capacity to run a decent meteor logging script I don't know, but I'm guessing you'd need a powered USB hub to use it with a dongle.
