After some helpful advice from you guys about astro film or glass filter i went for the homemade solar filter option.Just waiting for some Baader astro film to arrive and the filter is done.

Looks ok from here, glad to see the addition of tape. Just make sure that the cardboard cannot be blown off or knocked off as it is sticking out  quite a bit.
