Comfortable, low-hassle (and rewarding) visual observing tips

I call it lazy double hunting. I sit on my swivel draughtsmans chair in the observatory. Pick an area of sky / constellation that I can comfortably observe from my perch then go through the SAC doubke star catalogue doubles in that area. A simple matter of putting the co ords into skymap and letting the mount slew to the object. Very relaxing and rewarding
