DSLR settings...

Is it sensible to image the eclipse from start to finish using the automatic setting on the DSLR so that it alters the shutter speed to "standardise" the exposures throughout the eclipse? Or should i set the ISO and fix the shutter speed at the start and leave it and use the same setting throughout the whole eclipse?

I'm planning to do a bit of a time lapse.

Any ideas greatly welcomed.

James
