Iphone Eclipse Timelapse

Hi guys,

So tomorrow is the partial eclipse and I'm itching to get a good video/image of the event

Now my DSLR only just arrived so I don't have a solar filter to protect the lens so I can use that tomorrow but am able to use the time-lapse on my iPhone !

What would be the best way to shoot the event?

Would a straight hour time-lapse compressed into a final say 30seconds video be the best

Or

Would it be easier to take multiple images at say 10 second intervals ?

I doubt you would be able to image it. You need a long focal length to catch any detail.
