SynScan long + lat problems

Recommended Posts

Hi

It's been a while since I used a SynScan controller but I think I'm right in saying that you need the coordinates in degrees and minutes.

For your longitude, you would enter:

004 <mm> W

where <mm> is the minutes. If you don't know your minutes just multiple the first 2 decimal places (rounded) by 60. For example, if Google Maps is showing 4.327643 then that equates to 4 degrees 22 minutes (0.33 x 60 ~ 22). So, you would enter 004 22 W into the handset.

Note: W indicates negative so you don't enter the sign (you can't, anyway).

Alternatively, use http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html to get your latitude and longitude in degrees and minutes (enter your address and click GO).

Regards

John
