What scope

I have a celestron slt goto mount which was going cheap and need advice on which scope to get for it I will use it mainly for observing but would also like to try imaging and have a budget of £400

the slt mount is an alt az mount so is really only suitable for lunar and planetary imaging. With that in mind you could do a lot worse than a 127 skymax

http://www.firstlightoptics.com/maksutov/skywatcher-skymax-127-ota.html  its just big enough for visual and has a nice long focal length so takes magnification well for lunar and planetary imaging. You will also need a dew shield.
