Eq6 AZ in Eq mode - using the extra puck

It says in the Manual that using the extra puck in EQ mode  (see pic) is "not recommended" but I can't see any harm in adding a cam there to catch some wide angle

shots of the night sky, while I'm doing other things with the main scope. I guess I get the extra payload for free as it would be used to balance out the main scope?

This is a lovely mount by the way. Very impressed with the build quality. I may even use the AZ mode for a bit of daytime bird watching with my C6.
