I picked up similar from I think from Aldi or Lidl for £2.99 which I use with my dob for 1) on the off chance it will actually stem any vibration 2) it stops the risk of feet sinking in to the ground. They are in no way in the same league as my SW vibration pads which I use with a tripod but for only £2.99 I felt it was worth the punt.

I have a set of these, for use from my bedroom when it is windy outside. Without them, every footfall caused serious long lasting vibration through the floorboards. Once I placed the tripod on three of these pads, the vibrations are un-noticable. They must be doing something right.
