Quicky last night

So I had my first night observing since August last night!! I had to make the most of the clear skies.

First target was the Andromeda galaxy, was quite challenging in my humble 4" frac, I was on my knees trying to align my finder, which was way off. In the end, I ended up sighting the tube by eye and scanning the area, until it popped out at me as a grey fuzzy blob. M45 was next and looked fab with the stock 20mm plossl, like a string of pearls glistening. I'm sure they would have benefited from more fov.

By now Orion was just above my neighbours house, caught sight of M42 and it looked amazing :)

So, a quick 45 min session was over, it was a work night so packed the by now very wet with dew scope away needless to say it was a good night with a few easy targets..
