Crescent moon tonight

[dynamo hum]

Despite the howling gales we've been having recently, there was a real stillness in the air tonight (no doubt the calm before the storm...).

This was a tricky shot to expose properly as the bit of the moon that was lit was so bright it ended up being washed out. Taken with a DSLR and a longish lens (still waiting for my mount to arrive for some proper 'astrophotography').
