Need help with Meade ETX125

Hi, is there anybody from Edinburgh to help me with my Meade? I am new to astronomy and been given Meade ETX125 but unfortunately can not see anything through it. I have no idea what is wrong with it. like there is no sharpness at all in a day light nor the night time.[emoji45] I only get blurry views. please help!!

silly but have you focused it sounds daft but just trying simple thing

Yes. I focused it. The point is that the focusing knob is so loose and i am not sure if it should be like that.

s the etx it a maksutov, there can be a huge amount of travel on the focus, use the largest ep say a 25mm and try focus in each direction

I'll do tomorrow in daylight as is cloudy and rainy in here. I'll take 26mm and try to focus. Hopefully it will work as I'm determined to see the moon etc....I'm a newbe.
