Removing decal from dew shield

Anybody removed the decal from a dew shield? I need to get it off without damage ... the dew shield needs a revamp and the decal is quite rare, if I can lift it off them I might be able to get it scanned and replicated.

Any thought very welcome.

The only thing I can think of is

using a hair dryer, to soften the

glue,& get it off that way.
