rowan46
i have decided to get an illuminated reticle eyepiece to hopefully get better accuracy on my homemade push-to system and they have 2 in stock at the shop I will be going to tomorrow. 1 is a second hand 12.5mm celestron microguide orthoscopic price 59.99 the other is a second hand meade 12mm plossl also valued at 59.99 but in better condition. I am told that both are fine optically so which one should I get?
Laurie61
Hi , I have not used these but the Celestron is an Ortho while the Meade is a three element, Modified Achromatic. I would think the Ortho will have the better optical performance.
