Object Near Vega on 3rd August

Hi 

I just took these two 180 sec images on a 200 mm lens with a pollution filter Canon 550d. This looks like a slightly odd comet - clearly moving. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Internal reflection caused by the very bright Vega ... 

P.S. Keep that framing as it is and you'll catch an ISS pass at about 00:53 ...

It looks a bit like an aberration internal on the lens, try the same exposure on another bright object it may just be the lens.

Red face! - I feel rather foolish - It was the relative  movement over time that put me off, but thinking about it this could happen. I've never noticed this effect before but never photographed Vega before and I think the pollution filter amplified the effect

No need to feel foolish , these things happen to us all at some point ... 

And you went to bed 'early' and missed the ISS pass ...
