North American Nebula

Hi

It's been about a year since I've managed to do anything (other than obsy building).  So to get a quick fix I slapped my 100mmf2.0 lens on my unmodded 30D bunged it on my tripod and took 50 x 10seconds of the North American Nebula.  I'm surprised at just how well this came out considering the kit and the carelessness in the execution..  I'll have a go at printing this one off.

Processing: Canon's DPP first, to debayer and correct for lens aberrations and vignetting, then output in TIFF, import into IRIS for align stack curves and levels.. that's it, no darks flats or hot pixel maps.

I so want my obsy to be finished now.

enjoy!

Derek

Edit:  my wife just looked at this and said "is that what you saw when you looked outside the front door last night?..  I didn't see that!..  how did you do that?!"....
