steppenwolf Posted February 21, 2008 Share Posted February 21, 2008 As this lens is an APO it would make an excellent wide field imaging lens for astro-photography. A camera lens of this focal length would have a lot of 'normal' glass in it and although it would give the same wide field view, the chromatic aberrations it induced would spoil the image, unlike an APO lens.
