What a Klutz!

D'Oh!! I'd just finished bodging up a nice adaptor to hook up my compact digital camera to a 2" nosepiece when I realised that I'll need an eyepiece in between to get any images! As far as I know you can't get focus with just a digital camera in a telescope, right?

What shall I do now? :insects1:

Need to think things through properly...

As far as I am aware, if the camera still has the lens attached then you must have an EP.

But not the other way around. (you can image with an EP and no camera lens)

I'll risk saying that it SHOULD be possible. The objective must create a real image somewhere inside the scope. Your camera only needs to take a picture of that image. The other day, I saw (i.e. eyeballed) an image of the moon through the focuser before I had put any eyepieces in.

OK, now the name-calling can begin. 8)
