What a Klutz!

D'Oh!! I'd just finished bodging up a nice adaptor to hook up my compact digital camera to a 2" nosepiece when I realised that I'll need an eyepiece in between to get any images! As far as I know you can't get focus with just a digital camera in a telescope, right?

What shall I do now? :insects1:

Need to think things through properly...

I'll risk saying that it SHOULD be possible. The objective must create a real image somewhere inside the scope. Your camera only needs to take a picture of that image. The other day, I saw (i.e. eyeballed) an image of the moon through the focuser before I had put any eyepieces in.

OK, now the name-calling can begin. 8)
