SynScan disaster

Hi al.Last night disaster struck and the hand controller for my SynScan Eq6 pro  hit the deck.  It didn't seem to hit it all that hard, but clearly hard enough as now only the top line on the screen works. The lower line is a row of dancing dashes ----.  A new controller is going to set me back £159 so this was an expensive accident. I have taken a peep inside the controller and can see no obvious broken connections or whatever.  Is replacing the screen an option and if so does any one know of someone who can do such things? . Or is it more likely that the screen is fine and it is just showing what some other mashed up component is telling it to show ?  Any suggestions would be very gratefully received.  NEIL

If you've got a laptop you could use a eqdir cable with eqmod rather than replacing the handset. A much cheaper option.

Isn't the screen just attached with a ribbon cable? I would check that hasn't been knocked loose.
