In search for cheap dovetail<>camera adapters

Does someone know of a cheap source for dovetail<>camera adapters?

I have a small Maksutov now and I was wondering if there are any cheap adapters to attach the dovetail of the Mak to a camera tripod.

I also would like to attach the camera to the SLT mount.

I have used my 3D printer to make an adapter for a small telescope, but I was wondering if there are any cheap sources for those adapters.

While I trust the printed parts, I would have to make a "L" adapter for the SLT mount, and that would have to be rather thick to avoid vibrations due to the plastic being flexible.

I do not mind ordering in china - via ebay, aliexpress, dx/fp/glb and so on.

I do not have a work bench to drill a threading into the dovetail... too bad :-)

I can understand that local and national suppliers want to earn their share too, and have quality assurance, employees, rent, and so on.

But I think it is kind of a rip-off to sell parts for 29,90€ that cost 2,50€ on eBay... (For example, camera adapters)

Unfortunately I did not find the right adapter there, yet.

Hi Shorhr,

I do not know whether 'Astroboot' http://www.astroboot.co.uk/AstroBoot has anything or does overseas shipping. Prices though are GBP only. If you can bear with me I am going to phone them because I need some information about an item. I have attached their link for the 'Terms & Conditions': [url=http://www.astroboot.co.uk/page/terms-and-conditions.html], it does mention that they can send small items to a BFPO address.

Apologies for the delay. 'Astroboot' have returned a phone call and they regret they are unable to post packages and parcels to an address that is outside of the United Kingdom/Great Britain. You may have better luck in sourcing the part from another European astro dealer/re-seller.
