Pulsar Optical near Ely - Credit Where It's Due

Last thursday I ordered over the phone an HEQ5 PRO SynScan mount from Pulsar Optical - the cheapest in Eastern Counties I think, at £629.

It was delivered this morning and I opened it up this afternoon. I found that the Hand Controller was missing and phoned Pulsar Optical immediately at 4pm.

A Mr James Munson (the boss??) dealt with me politely and efficiently and arranged for me to pick up tomorrow, a new replacement controller from Optical Vision (the SkyWatcher Importers) who are only a couple of miles away from me. A bit of a nuisance but great service I thought! He asked that I take the mount box and paperwork with me.

Then, ..... as I was packing away the mount in the polystyrene moulding, to my horror I found the "missing" controller. It was lodged in a recess on the underside of the top moulding which I had lifted off and put on the table!

I feverishly called James but they'd shut up shop for the night, so I had to send an email to him explaining that I am a stupid idiot, for not checking everything first.

So why this thread? Well he dealt with me so courtiously and efficiently that I thought this service deserved recording even though it exposes me as a stupid bu...er!
