Narrowband Imaging with Camera Lens Help

I was considering, as the subject title suggest, attaching a narrowband filter to my camera lens but I'm slightly wary of having the filter exposed to the elements.

I was considering attaching a luminance filter to the NB filter to protect it, but this feels like an expensive solution to the problem (as I don't have one ).

Thanks Jarrod. I've used one of those in the past and sold it on. I want something that will work with my 2" filters, otherwise the cost of new clip-in filters is a show stopper.
