Konus telescope

Hello!
So, about one week ago my parents came back home with this heavy baby:

It's a Konus, they were given it from a lady who didn't use it for years so it's a little old (about 20 years I think?), but it doesn't look that bad. I hope to have soon an occasion to try it out.

In the meantime, does anybody know something about this kind of telescope? Is it a good one? How well can I hope to see stars and planets with a 20 yo telescope like this?

We have a 115mm Konus reflector similar to yours but on a heavier duty mount. Konus telescopes are reputed to have better than average optics sourced from Russia. The performance of ours is very good for the aperture.

Oh that's good to hear As soon as the weather improves I'm definitely trying it on the roof!
