too many throw away subs - wrong dithering options in APT?

Hi guys,

I've recently started dithering with APT. For some reason I now have, more so than before a lot of subs, even at 300s, that have eggy stars, whilst inbetween subs are spot on. Very odd. And there was no wind etc.

I'm wondering whether it's got to do with settling down the mount after a dither, before re-starting an exposure.

Anyone else with this problem? Anyone here has some opinion on APT dithering options?

I've found this but it doesn't quite go into detail enough for me to figure out what's wrong.

Tonight I've disabled dithering, to see, whether it makes a difference in my star shapes.

Let's hope...
