Jupiter and Andromeda Photo Editing.

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Had a good session last night with my Celestron NexStar 130SLT last night. I took my point and shoot camera and mounted it to the scope and took some cool pictures, but it wasn't quite able to pick out the small details. If you look very closely on the jupiter pics you can make out faint and i mean faint rings and you can see andromeda on the other pictures but that is extremely faint (you can see M31 in the middle of the screen). Anyways I just wanted to ask could i use any photo editing software to bring out the details on the pictures to make them more visible, or do you recommend any settings on the camera to change to bring them out better. I am using a Mac computer. Links are below to see the pictures.
