Brightest stars in Leo!

Recommended Posts

Hi

Had the somewhat mad idea to plot the brightest stars in Leo last night, very clear and still. Balmer lines abound in that constellation  .

I may have over crowded the graph somewhat but WTH!

Hi Steve,

I can see you have been very busy and got the hang of the Alpy.

I would check the Gamma Leo calibration. The 'Ha' line might be telluric O2 at 686.9nm?

According to Wiki R Leonis is a cool M8IIIe type. This seems consistent with the molecular bands that are clearly evident.

cheers

John
