How out of date is "Cosmos"

While sitting here pretending to work I was copying stuff to a tablet to occupy me while on a train tomorrow. Is Carl Sagan's Cosmos now so far out of date that it's no longer worth watching?

Not at all. Some of the stuff has since changed but the majority of it is still bang on. It's definitely worth watching.

A new one is in the offing I think , his wife anne druyan is making it , she was heavily involved in the first also.

I bought the DVD series a while back, and it's very much worth watching.  They also have updates at the end of some of the DVD's, where Carl was filmed explaining some bits that had changed since the TV show was released.  I don't know when the DVDs were released but he (Carl) looks a fair bit older in the updates, bless him.

Yes.  A great series, still valid and very interesting.
