This is driving me mad!

Why do some 'scope manufacturers always insist on using locking screws with small heads that are so hard to get a grip of between a finger and thumb?

...especially when it is freezing cold!

Usually the usability is not a great consideration, whereas cost is.

It is cheaper to purchase a small screw then a large one.

Because if they had big heads then the gorillas of this world would just snap them off... BTDT when designing stuff.
