Meade starnavigator 90mm refractor with autostar

Recommended Posts

Hi, do not know this scope at all, but from a quick search it seems it is a  90mm F8.8 (800ml) refractor. This is a useful size and will certainly give you good views of the moon and reasonable views of the likes of Jupiter and Saturn. Its focal length is not too long to make wider field of view possible. Its smallish aperture will limit your views of some DSOs but the brighter ones should be OK. Again from a very limited search the GOTO seems to be a weak point. So much will depend on the asking price as to whether its good value or not. You could compare it to S/H equipment on this site.
