Solar filters

Just seen a topic on here regarding the solar filter glasses from FLO, towards the bottom of page where the related item part is, the was a filter for telescopes.

Can the fit onto any scope like my skywatcher heritage 90 virtuoso or are they for the special sun scopes only?

The Solar filters made with Baader ND5.0 solar film can be used on any telescope ( apart from the specialist HydrogenAlpha scopes )

Make sure you get the ND 5.0 Visual film not the ND3.8 Imaging variety if you plan to use it for visual work.

Alternatively just buy a sheet of the film and make your own holder cell , plenty of variations about , I personally use an embroidery ring for mine , but a quick search for solar filters here on SGL  will throw up a few more variants.
