As a technology fan, I always seem to be thinking of how things can be put together. When I had trouble with my equatorial mount - I thought how nice it would be to have a similar system as shown in the image attached.

I wouldn't be surprised if such a system already exists. Have any of you folks seen a similar system?

Looks like a good idea, but I'm not sure how practical it would be. The field of view through a telescope is probably too small to be of use to the head up display.

That said, Celestron has a device called the SkyScout that does something similar. It detects your location via GPS and senses where in the sky you point, displaying data on a small screen. It's pretty neat, though in it's first version. Some have suggested aligning it with your telescope to view useful data.
