- wooly hat and thermal socks - check

- worst storm in twenty years - check...

*sigh* hopefully some time in the next couple of weeks the clouds will clear away and I can have a go at trying all of the things I read on these forums

Don't forget a spare battery in these cold conditions (I bought one for my DSLR cheap at DX.com, they work just like the original ones).

I have got a period of around 2-3 hours clear night at 9pm so i shall be out trying to work around the cold, thankfully i setup in a nice wind shielded place.
