webcam imagining using andriod tablet

Hi, I was curious to whether astrophotography would be possible whilst using a webcam and an Android tablet. I know laptops require software to do the job but my laptop has a 15 minute battery life so is out of the question.

I have also looked into this.

The main problem is that most webcams are windows/mac compatible so wont work with android and I can't seem to find a webcam for android as most android devices have a build in webcam already.

I'm hoping someone will prove me wrong.

Use a rechargeable sealed 12 volt 18 Ah deep cycle battery with a cigarette type socket to power everything especially the laptop. Works like a charm. I can image for hours and not put a dent in the voltage running a mount and a laptop.
