How much more powerful is the. 200p dob to the 130 and does it give more detailed and clearer images of planets and dso. Is a Worth while upgrade that I will notice???

Hi James, I'd definitely say it's worth the upgrade, and it will notice in the views you get, both for deep sky and solar system.

A 200mm mirror has more than double the light grasp of a 130mm (area of mirror), so is 'more powerful'.

Not putting down a 130mm scope either, it's capable of a lot, and few of us (me included) have exhausted the possibilities of a smaller scope before upgrading.

Cheers ed many thanks for the reply I am upgrading ASAP but the 10"is so expensive I may go the 8" if it a significant upgrade to the 130
