Balcony inspiration required

Hi All, i am hoping somebody may throw some ideas my way regarding ideas on how to create a semi permanent "shelter " for what is now my Balcony (south facing ) positioned set up.    the idea is to bebe able to leave everything outside for as much of the weather as possible. 

I have bolted my steel pier to the concrete balcony.  unfortunately due to constraints in the park position the Scope plus camera would protrude over the balcony rails (aprox 20 cm) so i dont have a free rail line to run anything along - similar to a roll off shed roof unfortunately.

the scope in park position also faces the bedroom window so anything connecting to that wall would need to be higher than that.  Very simple diagram to show the rough layout.

Any ideas are very welcome.  esp as i am not a DIY master

Hi Mark,

This is what I am planning to build on my balcony. Main difference with your situation, I think, is that my balcony doesn't have a roof.
